We're getting married

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/garden formal.

A substantial part of our wedding will be outside, including the ceremony, so please dress to the conditions. We would recommend bringing coats to accommodate the colder evenings.

If you want to know specifics on the colour scheme our inspo is below but no pressure, we love you no matter what you wear!

Weather in and around Samsonvale/Samford Valley is generally around max of 25 and min of 9 degrees. Evenings tend to feel cold up in the hinterlands. While we have booked our wedding during the dry season, weather in Queensland can be unpredictable. We will have a wet weather plan but bring an umbrella regardless.

Yes! Both the reception and ceremony will be at Samsonvale Hall with cocktail hour directly following the ceremony.

Weather permitting, yes.

The ceremony will be fully outdoors. The reception will have indoor and outdoor areas and activities.

Please arrive at 3 PM for a 3:30 PM ceremony. Family and wedding party will be asked to remain after the ceremony for some quick family photos. Cocktail hour will start immediately following the ceremony where finger foods and drinks will be served.

The venue has some parking options but we encourage most guests to take advantage of the shuttle we have organised from Redcliffe through to the venue.

Please indicate in your RSVP if you will be taking advantage of the shuttle and we will send more information closer to the date on timings.

Kids are most definitely welcome.

Please note, there will be alcohol served at this wedding reception, supervision of any children will be the responsibility of their parents. Please indicate any children attending in your RSVP.

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. We have carefully considered the guest list to ensure all attendees have familiar friends or friendly acquaintances.

If after being invited your relationship status changes please keep us updated so we can accommodate long-term relationships.

Please check out our accommodation page for specific accommodation recommendations. In general Samsonvale is close to the Samford Village which has some accommodation options but we encourage the majority of out of town visitors stay in Redcliffe.

Reuben and I have been living together for 5 years and have our home set up so, while we love the thought, physical gifts are not required. Your presence is our gift.

If you wish to give us a gift, a donation towards our honeymoon or experiential gifts are encouraged.

Yes, we are planning to accommodate most dietary needs including Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, no sea food, etc.

Please indicate in your RSVP your dietary requirements and we will ensure our vendors are aware how many dietary meals are required.
